The cloud-based customer service software provider Freshworks has announced Johanna Jackman's appointment as its Chief People Officer (CPO). Jackman joins the executive team and will report to Dennis Woodside, president of Freshworks, and Girish Mathrubootham, chief executive officer.

Jackman will be in charge of the organization's global human resources strategy and operations, which includes managing HR business partnerships, talent acquisition and employee development, facilities, compensation and benefits, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and a diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy. Jackman served as Chief People Officer at Airtable before joining Freshworks, where she was instrumental in scaling talent and culture to achieve major business goals.

Before joining Airtable, Jackman spent several years as Pure Storage's CHRO and was a board member of the Pure Good Foundation, where he helped to build workforce development programs for marginalized areas and environmental impact initiatives. She formerly held the position of Vice President of HR at LinkedIn, where she contributed to the development of a talent platform that increased the company's employee base from 1,000 to 10,000. Jackman's background goes farther back to her time at Microsoft, where she held significant responsibilities in the US, Europe, and Australia while specializing in personnel management and business partnerships.

Girish Mathrubootham, Chief Executive Officer, Freshworks, said, “JJ (Johanna Jackman) is a great addition to the Freshworks team. Her successful track record at high-growth tech companies and her international expertise working with global teams make her the perfect fit to support our diverse employee base who drive the long-term success of our business."
