Signed with Morocco's national railway operator ONCF in Rabat, the agreement covers the long-term maintenance of trains supplied under an earlier procurement deal. Hyundai Rotem and ONCF will establish a joint venture to manage maintenance operations for 440 train cars delivered by the South Korean manufacturer. The program will run for 20 years, supporting the fleet's reliability, safety, and operational efficiency while providing Hyundai Rotem with a stable revenue stream. The contract follows the company's 2.23 trillion-won train supply deal, which includes double-decker electric trains for Morocco's expanding railway network and modernization plans. US AI company Anthropic has opened a Seoul office to deepen engagement with South Korea's growing AI ecosystem and expand adoption of its Claude AI model. Anthropic Korea Representative Director Choi Ki-young said Korean organizations value both innovation and AI safety, making the country an important market for long-term collaboration. Choi brings extensive experience from leadership roles at Google Cloud, Microsoft Korea, Adobe, and Snowflake. Anthropic International Managing Director Chris Ciauri said the company's focus on AI safety aligns closely with South Korea's AI Framework Act and broader regulatory goals.
