Led by Chairman Ola Kallenius, senior executives attended the launch, reflecting the country's growing strategic importance. The model features a coupe-like silhouette, an illuminated grille with 1,050 light elements, and a dynamic rear design. It offers a range of up to 762 kilometers on a single charge under WLTP standards. Mercedes-Benz also aims to deepen battery partnerships with Korean firms, including LG Energy Solution and Samsung SDI.On the same day, it announced its first battery collaboration with Samsung SDI, with upcoming SUV and coupe models set to use the company's advanced battery technology solutions. Jollibee Foods, the Philippines' leading fast food chain, has acquired a 100 percent stake in All Day Fresh, operator of South Korea's Shabu All Day hot pot brand. Following a share purchase agreement worth about 130 billion won ($88.6 million), the company has been separated from its former parent, Myungryundang, and fully integrated into Jollibee's portfolio. All Day Fresh operates 172 outlets nationwide, generating roughly 480 billion won in annual revenue. Jollibee said the brand leads South Korea's all-you-can-eat hot pot segment and offers strong growth potential amid rising global interest in Korean cuisine. The group is considering expanding Shabu All Day into Southeast Asia, after acquiring Compose Coffee last year to strengthen its presence in South Korea's market further.
