The venture will combine LS Electric's design and manufacturing expertise with Nan Ya Plastics' production capabilities and engineering, procurement and construction network. LS Electric will hold a 50 percent stake, while Nan Ya will own 40 percent and KHI 10 percent. The partnership builds on a memorandum of understanding signed in March last year covering sustainable power equipment and energy efficiency. LS Electric said Taiwan aims to raise renewable energy's share to 70 percent by 2050, creating opportunities in energy storage and grids. Separately, LS Electric signed an MOU with KT Cloud to develop infrastructure for AI data centers. Abu Dhabi has introduced a new fleet of premium and standard taxis at Zayed International Airport to improve passenger mobility, comfort, and accessibility across the emirate. The initiative was launched by Abu Dhabi Mobility, part of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, in partnership with Abu Dhabi Airports. Managed by Al Arabia Transportation Taxi Company, the 800-vehicle fleet includes 500 taxis dedicated to the airport and 300 operating across Abu Dhabi city. The flexible allocation will help manage passenger demand during peak periods and major events. The initiative supports Abu Dhabi Mobility's strategy to strengthen airport transport services and accommodate rising passenger traffic. Zayed International Airport recently won the "Best Airport for Arrival Experience in the World" award for the third consecutive year. LS ELECTRIC AND FORMOSA PLASTICS PARTNER TO EXPAND IN TAIWAN ABU DHABI UNVEILS NEW TAXI FLEET AT ZAYED INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT KT&G has launched full-scale operations at its new factory in Pasuruan, East Java, completing a global production network spanning South Korea, Indonesia, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Türkiye. The company held an opening ceremony attended by CEO Bang Kyung-man, executives, East Java Regional Secretary Adhy Karyono, and South Korean Ambassador Yoon Soon-goo.KT&G entered Indonesia in 2011 and has since expanded brands including ESSE and JUARA. Built to meet rising domestic and international demand, the new facility began construction in April 2024 and trial operations in early 2026. Once all nine production lines are installed, it will produce up to 21 billion sticks annually. Combined with the existing plant, Indonesia's annual capacity will reach 35 billion sticks, making it KT&G's largest overseas production hub.
