One of the most recent reports reveals alarming statistics--a 30 percent flare in cyber attacks worldwide in Q2 2024 compared to last year. Asian countries faced the most attacks. For instance, India sees a sharp 46 percent rise. On the other hand, attackers target the most vulnerable organizations wherein a cyber attack can cause a sizeable impact, especially on the general public. Kuwait's Health Ministry was the victim of a cyberattack recently. The attack took down systems at several of the country's hospitals. The cyber attack also impacted the Ministry of Health website and Kuwait's Sahel healthcare app. However, the ministry contained the attack with the help of government security agencies; it also announced measures to enhance the security of its infrastructure. The education sector is also one of the most targeted sectors. The government in Kuwait has asked organizations to strengthen security measures.
