The Saudi Tourism Authority has cooperated with Huawei Mobile Services and its advertising department, Petal Ads, in order to improve the experience for visitors and increase Chinese trips to Saudi Arabia. A memorandum of agreement was inked during the Approved Destination Status launch event in Beijing, cementing the partnership.The agreement was signed by Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority, and Walter Ji Rengui, president of Huawei Consumer Cloud Service Global Ecosystem Development & Operations. The major goal of this partnership is to alter how visitors see Saudi Arabia through digitizing travel services, with a particular emphasis on recruiting Chinese tourists.Choon Yang Quek, chief technology officer at the STA, stated: "The partnership with Huawei Mobile Services and Petal Ads is part of Saudi's innovative approach to marketing tourism and enhancing visitor experiences."
