Owing to a vast consumer base, maturing markets and technological expansion, global players are moving into Asia owing to it being a lucrative business region.Over the past few years, we have seen Asia showcase tremendous growth potential. In-fact in 2024 Asia accounted for close to 60 percent of global growth in trade. However, the region's business landscape has come face to face with a rough patch, courtesy the growing geopolitical discord, the primary being US's tariff war. While the global economic landscape is reeling under the impact of the tariff war, Asia has found itself at the eye of the storm. China specifically is facing some of the highest tariff rates globally, which has impacted business growth. The uncertain trade policies and rising tension between US and China has dimmed Asia's growth momentum to some extent. The IMF has predicted that the APAC region which experience 4.6 percent growth in 2024, will grow at 3.9 percent in 2025. The growth rate for 2026 also stands at 4 percent. The times ahead could be tough and only the most resilient and adaptable ones will survive.
