The tire manufacturer signed a renewable energy direct power purchase agreement with SK Innovation E&S, enabling it to procure electricity directly from a renewable energy provider. At its Changnyeong facility in South Gyeongsang Province, Nexen Tire plans to replace leased rooftop solar systems with company-owned installations.Solar capacity at the facility is expected to exceed 10 megawatts by 2028, with renewable energy projected to account for around 9 percent of its total electricity consumption.
