Chanel Owners Seek Arthur Heilbronn to Manage their Billions

Arthur Heilbronn, who possesses traits of being groomed to wield power over one of the world’s biggest multi-generational fortunes, has been sought after by Chanel owners to manage their billions.
At 38, Arthur Heilbronn has assumed management roles overseeing real estate, banking, and media investments belonging to himself and his relatives during the six years since he became part of Mousse Partners, one of the most significant and secretive family offices globally. Recently signaling his rise within the organization, the Harvard Business School alumnus and former Goldman Sachs banker was appointed a director for one of Mousse’s primary holding entities, stepping into the role left vacant after the passing of longtime Chanel executive Michael Rena, as revealed by registry documents.
Heilbronn started at Mousse in 2019 as a director and transitioned to managing director a couple of years later, based on his LinkedIn profile. Presently, he serves as co-head of private equity and direct venture investing alongside another managing director, Paul Yun. After Mousse Partners made one of its most notable investments in 2023 by joining forces with two other French dynasties to privatize Rothschild & Co., he joined the supervisory board of the bank.

Mousse Investments states that it has a “diverse array of asset classes in public and private markets” beyond just Chanel. Although Mousse does not reveal the extent of its financial control, other companies have cited Mousse Partners as a participant in transactions or as a stakeholder, indicating investments across stocks, real estate, credit, and private equity.
With a global workforce of over thirty-six employees, Mousse Partners employs former analysts from banks like JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Wells Fargo & Co.
