TNB CEO Honoured at Inaugural Madani Business Awards 2025

Recently, at the inaugural MADANI Business Awards 2025, Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Megat Jalaluddin Megat Hassan was honored with the esteemed title of "MADANI Best CEO of the Year".
Other business leaders who were recognized in the event included Datuk Prof Dr Mohd Azmi Mohd Lila, who serves as the chairman of Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd and received the prestigious "MADANI Nation Housing Visionary Award".

Additionally, Mohd Yusmadi Mohd Yusoff, the independent non-executive chairman of Encorp Bhd, and Datuk Dr Mohamed Sulaiman Sultan Suhaibuddeen, the chief network security officer of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, were both awarded the esteemed “MADANI Corporate Reform Award”.
Chairman of the Organising Committee for the MADANI Business Awards 2025, Mohd Yahya Mat Sahri, expressed that Megat Jalaluddin was recognized for his exceptional leadership role in driving the evolution of the country's energy industry.

"These efforts are aligned with the government’s aspiration to build a low-carbon and sustainable economy based on the MADANI Economy framework,” he says.
"The selection was made after the judging panel took into account his track record in driving the implementation of the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), including the expansion of renewable energy (RE), modernisation of grid infrastructure through the Grid of the Future initiative, and TNB’s commitment to achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2050.

Under Megat Jalaluddin's direction, TNB achieved consistent operational and financial success through extensive digital transformation efforts that included the integration of artificial intelligence, big data analytics, grid automation, and enhanced customer service platforms.
He was instrumental in overseeing the execution of critical national initiatives as part of the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), such as the integration of the Battery Energy Storage System project, Large-Scale Solar endeavors, and the advancement of the electric vehicle infrastructure through TNB's Electron charging network.
