B.Bath Launches India's First 'Sensory-Safe' Skincare Range

B.Bath, the first family skincare brand in India established by educators, launched its baby skincare line at a special event held at Green Theory in Bengaluru. This new range presents products that surpass conventional clean beauty norms.
They tackle a significant issue where items may be safe chemically but can still overstimulate the developing sensory systems of infants and young children.
Over the span of two years of thorough research and development, B.Bath partnered with child-development educators, dermatologists, pediatricians, occupational therapists, and sensory science specialists.
The product formulations were crafted in collaboration with more than 200 families and 72 active parent-child testers. The newly launched range is intentionally designed to reduce sensory triggers in fragrance, texture, and foaming, aiding in the creation of more serene, secure, and connected moments for families during daily care routines.

The launch featured two key products. The first is a low-foaming Moisturising Wash & Shampoo that effectively cleans without removing moisture from the skin or overwhelming sensory perception. The second is a lightweight Nurturing Face & Body Oil, designed for daily use in massage and hydration without causing sensory distress. In addition to these, B.Bath has revealed an expanded Baby & Family Essentials collection and a Home & Body line that offers cold-process soaps, whipped butters, and sensory aromatics.

Ishwarya lyer, Founder & CEO of B.Bath says, "We saw families switching to 'clean' products to avoid certain preservatives and synthetics. This is mainly replaced with heavy doses of essential oils or plant extracts that can still overstimulate developing senses and then there's the phrase saying 'chemical-free' which is meaningless since even air and water have chemicals. The real question is how much, for whom, and in what sensory context. This is a formulation-design challenge that requires both developmental insight and dermatology."
"At B.Bath, we're not here to compete for just a place on the baby-care shelf. With this new range, we're opening a new category for families who want products that feel right not just test safe on paper," adds Ishwarya.
Ganesh Sahasranam, Co-Founder and Manufacturing Advisor of B.Bath says, "When new research highlights a better approach or flags a sensory trigger, we have the systems to implement improvements rapidly. This approach will help families receive products that reflect the latest evidence. With my years of experience in manufacturing, sourcing, and nationwide logistics my goal is to ensure that B.Bath products are not only scientifically advanced but also consistently accessible and reliable across India. This commitment allows us to deliver care solutions that evolve with both science and the real needs of parents."
