Colt Technology Services, a digital infrastructure company, has named Yasutaka Mizutani as the President of APAC. Formerly serving as the Chief Marketing Officer at Colt's UK Headquarters since October 1st, 2019, Mr. Mizutani will maintain his location at Colt's UK headquarters but will now play a more active role in overseeing the company's business operations and development in Japan and Asia. This appointment aligns with the recently concluded acquisition of Lumen Technologies' EMEA businesses, announced in November of the previous year. The acquisition involved over 1,000 Lumen employees transitioning to Colt. Annette Murphy, Colt's Chief Commercial Officer, and previously the President of EMEA and Asia Pacific at Lumen, will serve as Mr. Mizutani's reporting authority, bringing her extensive executive leadership experience to Colt.

Regarding the appointment of Mr. Mizutani as President of APAC, which encompasses Japan and Asia, Ms. Murphy commented, "In his role as CMO, Mizutani has been instrumental in advancing Colt's corporate growth and implementing our global marketing strategy, bringing innovations like AI to connect with our customers more effectively. He has been recognized as one of the '50 Most Influential Marketers in the World' by Data Economy magazine. With approximately 2.3 billion euros in combined revenue, we are now among the largest providers of business-only telecommunication services globally. Given the significance of Asia and Japan in our growth strategy, Mizutani's profound understanding of these markets, customers, and cultures positions him ideally for success in this crucial role".

Mr. Mizutani expressed his satisfaction in taking on the role of President, APAC, stating, "I am delighted to return to this region. I began my career in Japan as a technology support engineer and joined Colt's predecessor, KVH Co., Ltd., in October 2007 in the same capacity. From January 2015 to July 2016, I served as the Product Marketing Manager based in Singapore before relocating to the UK". Based on a 2023 Gartner survey, the global Compound Annual Growth Rate in the corporate fixed data network market is projected to be 2.4% between 2022 and 2027. In contrast, Asia and Japan are expected to experience higher growth rates of 3.9% and 5.4%, respectively, in the same period. I aim to replicate this growth for Colt APAC, working collaboratively with our dedicated employees across the region, Mr. Mizutani added.
