Separator

CountryCountry Garden is actively enhancing various facilities in the Forest City region to align with the implementation of the Special Financial Zone (SFZ) initiative. Fang Fang, the General Manager of Malaysia-Singapore brand, sales, and marketing, emphasized the importance of these upgrades in attracting new investors through the SFZ initiative. Notable enhancements include the relocation of the existing checkpoint for the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) to a new location.

The construction of the new inspection center, expected to conclude by the year's end, aims to facilitate seamless inspections by related agencies and enhance enforcement in the area, Fang Fang, the General Manager of Malaysia-Singapore brand, sales, and marketing at Country Garden, stated. She highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects in the vicinity, including the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High-Speed Rail and the Light Rapid Transit West Line, with plans for stations in Forest City.

Fang mentioned the official launch of the cross-border bus service and emphasized upgrades to the Internet network services, incorporating the latest technology to establish Forest City as a premier financial zone. Additionally, Forest City is embracing QR code implementation for faster clearance at land checkpoints, reflecting a significant shift in the regional approach to people and goods flow. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the establishment of the special financial zone in Forest City on August 25 last year, accompanied by incentives to boost economic activities in Johor and the surrounding areas.
