
Dennis Kung Named ECD for SE Asia at TBWA/Media Arts Lab

Dennis Kung is the Executive Creative Director for Southeast Asia at TBWA Media Arts Lab, Apple's in-house global creative agency.
In collaboration with Michaela Futcher, Head of Strategy and Managing Director, he will spearhead the region's creative vision, answering directly to Brent Anderson, Global Chief Creative Officer.
Born in Taiwan and raised in the US, Kung is a creative leader with over 10 years of experience in both Asia and North America.
He led award-winning campaigns for some of the most well-known companies in the world while working with agencies like Ogilvy, Mother, Wieden+Kennedy, Translation, Quality Meats, and Mojo Supermarket.
“Dennis brings a rare balance of creative experience and cultural fluency,” said Brent Anderson, Global Chief Creative Officer at TBWA\Media Arts Lab.
“He joins a MAL office in Southeast Asia that has experienced momentous growth over the past several years. Dennis has a remarkable instinct for crafting emotionally resonant ideas grounded in local nuance. Kung’s portfolio includes notable work such as IBM’s Cognitive Dress—a pioneering AI activation long before “AI” became a buzzword—Tarzhay Everyday for Target, WhatsApp’s UGO documentary with NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Facebook’s Haunted Marketplace campaign.
He helped local brands like OPPO grow globally while working with big brands like HP, IKEA, and Hennessy in China to increase their local relevance. Kung and Steph Cajucom also played a key role in the early stages of GoDaddy's Act Like You Know, which later won the Cannes Lions B2B Grand Prix.
