President Prabowo Speeds Up Digital Learning in 173,000 Schools

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto announced that approximately 173,000 schools throughout the country have been equipped with interactive flat panel displays, representing a strategic effort to modernize classroom technology and reduce educational disparities across the Indonesian islands.

He reported that the Learning Digitalization for Smart Indonesia initiative had achieved substantial advancements and represented a crucial turning point in the mission to enhance educational standards.

Prabowo stated that the introduction of smartboards signifies a significant initial step towards guaranteeing that students throughout Indonesia can utilize contemporary educational technologies, irrespective of their geographical position.

He emphasized that Indonesia should not lag in educational quality compared to other countries, and further noted that embracing technological advancements is crucial for enhancing educational performance and results.

He emphasized the importance of ensuring that every region receives equal opportunities, and suggested that technological progress can help improve educational access and quality for all.

 

The IFP program is being executed in accordance with Presidential Directive Number 7/2025, which focuses on reinvigorating educational institutions, promoting high-performance schools, and rapidly advancing digital learning approaches.

Interactive digital displays facilitate online educational experiences, enabling educators to engage directly with students during live instructional sessions, thereby broadening educational opportunities for students in remote or traditionally underserved regions.

By the conclusion of the current year, the administration intends to deploy approximately 288,000 interactive flat panels as part of its nationwide implementation strategy.

According to Abdul Mu'ti, who leads the Primary and Secondary Education Department, by November 16, 2025, a total of 172,550 interactive digital whiteboards had been successfully delivered to educational institutions, with an additional 43,022 units currently in the process of transportation.
