Ayoub began his career as an officer at Government Sector for six years. During his service with the Government, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting and later joined Deloitte &Touche Middle East as an external auditor where he gained unique experience and demonstrated exceptional skills in the field of Audit and Assurance business for nine years.

At HAMG Consultancy Group, Ayoub is empowering teams to offer premium quality financial services to clients across UAE. Under his leadership, within a year, the firm was able to compete with long-established companies and make itself recognized by many of the key business players in the market. As a leader, Ayoub believes in setting clear goals, which indeed, has been his greatest motivation toward finding his true calling and unparalleled success.

You possess over seventeen years of experience. How has been your path to success and what is your success mantra?

The opportunity to work in a firm known to have one of the most competitive environments and to obtain ACA which is known to be one of the most difficult accounting qualifications, came with a lot of challenges; it was extremely difficult to overcome everything and pass every step without failing. But I always believed that a journey without any failure indicates that the path I am taking is way easy compared to my skills and abilities. The faith I had in my skills and my potential motivated me to keep moving forward. Successful people think about each failure in their life as a lesson to help them to improve themselves and motivate them to continue on the path they have chosen.

How would you define HAMG Consultancy Group as an organization and its current position in the market?

Incorporated in 2022, HAMG Consultancy Group is armed with professionals having very strong exposure in the Middle East market for many years of experience with leading and multinational companies in different areas such as auditing, accounting, legal consultation, business modeling, and taxation. HAMG always enchases a good experience for its client and ensures quality in everything it provides. Given the strong competition in the market, HAMG is always seeking to differentiate itself by ensuring the quality of services, building good relationships with clients, and ensuring the continuous development of employees.

Tell us about your leadership and governance approach.

The first thing about being a leader in a booming and dynamic market is to have a clear vision – well-defined and communicated to management and employees. I hold a strategic leadership approach to leading my team. I believe in acting as a guide to my employees and management and drawing their attention to the objectives of the organization. It is also vital to have a competitive advantage – being aware of what factors enable the firm to provide better services than other competitors in order to overcome challenges faced by the firm. Furthermore, given the rapidly changing business environment, specifically in the UAE, leaders must ensure flexibility in the operation of the firm to guarantee growth. This approach emphasizes overall growth; hence I make sure to focus on accountability, monitor productivity very closely, ensure collaboration, and create a transparent working environment among employees.

What are your future plans for HAMG Consultancy Group?

We are currently planning to establish offices and branches in East Asia and North Africa in the coming years. We are also looking forward to moving to new markets including Europe and other African countries. This will ensure steady and consistent growth of the firm and will enable us to explore new emerging markets where we will be able to grab great opportunities for business and have access to additional resources as well as greater exposure to the global market.

What would be your advice for budding industry leaders?

My advice to young leaders is to focus on their goals and objectives. They must design and adapt a management style to support their business and be more consistent. Also, they must perform deep market research before taking high risks and develop strategies to focus all their efforts toward achieving those set goals and objectives.

A Chartered Accountant (ACA, ICAEW), Ayoub has over 10 years of expertise in audit and assurance, accounting, and internal audit fields. He specializes in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, media, hospitality, health, retail, and education, and has outstanding knowledge in accounting, internal audit, IFRS, tax, and consulting.
