Faysel Al Mohannadi

Founder & CEO

Born into a family of diplomats, Faysel Al Mohannadi, Founder and CEO of Al Faisal Law Firm, was instilled early on with a deep sense of duty. From a young age, he recognized his calling to make a meaningful difference in society. Faysel graduated from the police academy in Abu Dhabi with a bachelor's degree in law. He kick-started his career with the Qatar Ministry of Interior and was eventually seconded by the government to join Interpol. A well-decorated international career combating human trafficking, migrant smuggling, and crimes against children later, Faysel today is on a new mission with Al Faisal Law Firm, which goes beyond the perimeter of a legal services firm to become a partner invested in its clients' growth and success.

Many clients face challenges finding legal partners who combine broad capabilities with in-depth knowledge of the local legal landscape. Often, services are transactional, short-term, and lack the strategic vision required for long-term success. Language barriers and inconsistent quality further complicate the client experience. Al Faisal Law Firm sets itself apart from the rest, especially in Qatar, by addressing these gaps effectively. Renowned for its client-first approach, transparency, and cross-cultural competence, it acts as a strategic legal partner across diverse areas, including corporate law, real estate, intellectual property, taxation, and arbitration. Faysel helps us explore his venture more through an exclusive interview.

What makes Al Faisal Law Firm's legal approaches and strategies unique?

When crafting strategic legal solutions, we take a comprehensive, client-centered approach. Each matter begins with an in-depth analysis of case-specific facts, legal frameworks, and procedural complexities. Understanding a client’s goals ensures our strategies are precisely aligned with their objectives. Risk evaluation is key, we identify potential obstacles early and design sound mitigation plans. My work blends local insight into Qatari law with international legal standards, supported by academic and professional global experience. I prioritize innovative thinking, tailoring creative and practical strategies to each unique scenario. At Al Faisal Law Firm, we deploy the right expertise and resources to every case. This culture of excellence, integrity, and focused service defines both my personal ethos and the firm’s enduring reputation

Could you share some of the guidelines or methodologies you follow as a leader?

I am grounded in leading by example, consistently demonstrating integrity, precision, and an unwavering commitment to legal excellence. I prioritize empowerment and collaboration, cultivating a team environment where legal professionals are encouraged to contribute their unique skills and perspectives. I support continuous professional development through mentorship and access to learning opportunities, helping team members grow in their careers. Clear and transparent communication with both clients and colleagues is central to my leadership style, ensuring alignment and mutual understanding. With a strong strategic vision, I guide the firm toward sustained excellence, focusing on delivering the highest standards of legal service while remaining adaptable to evolving legal landscapes. At the core of my leadership is a commitment to fostering a culture defined by ethical diligence, meticulous practice, and client-centered service.

How do you keep up with the dynamically changing regulatory and legal frameworks in the Middle East?

Staying updated with trends is of cardinal importance in the legal field. My approach is rooted in continuous learning, by actively engaging with legal journals, attending conferences and seminars, and participating in advanced professional development programs.

Throughout my career, I have built a strong global network by maintaining strong connections with law enforcement, legal professionals, and global organizations, such as Interpol. This has strengthened my ability to monitor legal and regulatory developments. I closely track changes in Qatari law, regional frameworks, and international legal landscapes.

Additionally, I embrace technological advancements, particularly in legal tech and emerging areas like crypto regulation, which is an increasingly important yet niche topic in our region. At Al Faisal Law Firm, this forward-thinking and proactive mindset ensures that we remain at the forefront of legal practice, fully equipped to navigate future challenges and opportunities with agility and innovation.

What is the kind of future roadmap you have envisioned for your journey?

I see the future as both demanding and full of promise. The vision for Al Faisal Law Firm is to strengthen its role as a premier legal institution in Qatar and the region, recognized for its expertise, integrity, and innovative approach. We aim to expand our capacity to handle complex domestic and international legal matters, mentor the next generation of legal talent, and support the ongoing development of Qatar’s legal framework. At the heart of this vision is a commitment to creating a lasting legacy, one built on legal excellence, forward-thinking leadership, and a deep dedication to justice.

Could you share a word of advice for budding legal leaders?

My advice to aspiring leaders in the legal field would be: First, build a strong foundation, invest in a solid legal education and seek out diverse practical experiences. Embrace diversity within your team, as having multicultural perspectives can significantly enhance your approach and differentiate you in the market. Your reputation is your most valuable asset, so act ethically and maintain the highest level of professionalism in all situations. As law becomes increasingly interconnected, it's essential to understand different legal systems and international perspectives with a global mindset. Secondly, commit to lifelong learning, because our field constantly evolves, and staying updated is crucial.

Also, lead with humanity and collaboration. True leadership means empowering others and creating a supportive, unified team. Lastly, always prioritize client service. Understand your clients' needs thoroughly and strive not just to meet but to exceed their expectations.
