His journey spans the entire value chain, from animal feed and premix production to farming, processing, and retail. Despite numerous challenges, he successfully navigated the industry’s transformation and now leads efforts to develop advanced products, including antimicrobial peptide solutions, which aim to reduce antibiotic reliance.

In a recent interview with CEO Insights Asia magazine, KH NG (Alan) shared his strategies, future roadmap, and vision for the company. Let’s read about it.

What quality control measures have you implemented to ensure your products support optimal gut health, disease prevention, and improved productivity in livestock and aquaculture?

We have built our entire process around safety, consistency, and scientific validation. After more than a decade of Research and Development (R&D) on antimicrobial peptides, we ensure every product is thoroughly tested for stability, efficacy, and active ingredient integrity before it reaches our customers. Each batch comes with clear testing methods so buyers can verify the composition and functionality themselves.

Our formulations are designed to reduce antibiotic reliance, promote gut health, and enhance disease resistance, all backed by extensive trials of over a year to confirm performance and safety. We never release a product unless it meets rigorous standards for purity and proven results.

We deliver solutions that improve productivity while maintaining food safety by combining precise identification of active compounds with transparent testing protocols. This data-driven approach ensures livestock and aquaculture operations can trust that our products consistently perform as intended.

What strategies have you adopted to revolutionize modern farming while protecting the ecosystem?

Revolutionizing farming while safeguarding the ecosystem requires a holistic and adaptive approach. For me, it’s about creating the right mindset, strategy, and infrastructure. We start by understanding each farm’s unique conditions, such as location, environment, and even national policies, before recommending tailored solutions. Our antimicrobial peptide technology reduces antibiotic dependence and promotes natural disease resistance and food safety.

However, technology alone isn’t enough; we emphasize farmer education, long-term planning, and sustainable practices. We guide them in optimizing facilities, equipment, and resource management to ensure both environmental protection and productivity. While the transition can be challenging and initial results may take months or years, our proven case studies in Malaysia and abroad demonstrate that the payoff is significant.

We have had results that showed healthier animals, reduced mortality, and improved yields. We help farmers achieve sustainable growth without compromising the ecosystem by combining science-backed solutions with practical guidance.

How would you describe your leadership approach and the methodologies you follow as a leader?

My leadership approach is built on respect, openness, and collaboration. I treat my team like family and try to create an environment where everyone feels valued and confident to share their ideas. I encourage my colleagues to challenge my views because I know I’m not always 100 percent right. I believe leadership is not about giving orders but fostering discussions and listening to diverse perspectives.

How do you stay updated with industry trends to guide your organization toward the future?

I stay updated by continuously monitoring global livestock and aquaculture trends, analyzing what other countries are doing, and identifying best practices that align with our vision. It’s not just about observing, it’s about knowing when and how to implement these strategies.

What is your future vision & destination for your organization?

I always plan with a clear five- and ten-year roadmap, supported by backup plans to manage uncertainties. Since we target markets beyond Malaysia, across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, I closely study country-specific policies and regulations to ensure compliance and adaptability.

We break down market insights into actionable steps, deciding which regions to prioritize and how to position ourselves competitively. This allows us to evolve with industry changes and strengthen our long-term presence globally.
