Chairman & CEO, ACEIS Capital

Asia has emerged as a powerful hub for global business leadership, driven by a unique blend of resilience, adaptability, and long-term strategic thinking. From navigating complex geopolitical landscapes to capitalizing on rapid technological advancements, Asian business leaders are increasingly shaping global markets. Their ability to balance traditional relationship-driven approaches with modern innovation has positioned the region at the forefront of economic transformation. Whether in finance, manufacturing, or technology, these leaders are redefining growth by focusing on sustainability, regional collaboration, and future-ready investments. Among this new generation of influential leaders is Salvador A, Chairman & CEO of ACEIS Capital, who exemplifies the evolving face of Asia’s financial leadership.

With a sharp focus on cross-border capital flows and emerging market opportunities, Salvador has positioned ACEIS Capital as a key player in connecting Asian capital with global deal ecosystems. His strategic outlook is rooted in understanding macroeconomic shifts, such as supply chain realignments and rising interest rates, while leveraging innovation to stay ahead. Let’s read.

How are current macroeconomic and geopolitical shifts influencing your investment strategy?

Over the past few years, geopolitical tensions, especially US-China trade dynamics have significantly reshaped global supply chains. I see a clear shift of investments into Southeast Asia, and we are actively capitalizing on this transition. At the same time, persistently high interest rates have reset global deal economics, making leveraged returns less viable. As a result, I focus on transactions backed by strong fundamentals and real collateral. Additionally, sovereign debt pressures in emerging markets are driving demand for restructuring, credit solutions, and alternative financing, which are now central to our strategy. I’m also seeing a move away from dollar-based cross-border transactions toward local currency settlements, which led us to develop ACES Pay, enabling seamless, high-value international transactions.

With Thailand as our global headquarters, my goal is not just to generate returns but to build sustainable ecosystems and empower human capital

How do you build agility and resilience within your organization as a regional-global capital and credit arranger?

I foster agility and resilience by building a culture centered on speed, empowerment, and accountability. We operate with a flat, fast decision-making structure where team members have real authority within clearly defined guardrails, avoiding slow, multi-layered approval processes. I also prioritize diversification across sectors and geographies to ensure consistent deal flow regardless of market conditions. Our guiding principle is simple - no single macroeconomic shock should be able to disrupt our business. This approach enables us to stay adaptable, responsive, and resilient in an increasingly volatile global environment.

Do you see fintech or AI-driven solutions as game-changers for capital management or asset allocation?

Yes, I strongly believe fintech and AI are transforming capital management. AI, in particular, is enhancing credit underwriting and due diligence by processing unstructured data like financials, legal documents, and market signals - much faster, significantly reducing timelines. Another major shift is the tokenization of real-world assets, which is now gaining real institutional traction. It allows fractional ownership in areas like private credit and real estate, improving liquidity and broadening investor access. Additionally, we are developing ACES Pay, our proprietary platform designed to handle complex, high-value, multi-currency cross-border transactions with greater efficiency than traditional systems.

How do you envision ACEIS Capital’s role evolving over the next 5–10 years in the global investment landscape?

I see ACEIS Capital evolving as a vital bridge connecting Asian capital with global deal flow, especially as traditional Western intermediaries step back from certain markets. This shift creates significant opportunities for firms like ours with deep regional expertise. I am also increasing our focus on economic development zones by aligning with government-led initiatives, such as Thailand’s tourism and infrastructure programs, to channel foreign capital in ways that benefit local economies. With Thailand as our global headquarters, my goal is not just to generate returns but to build sustainable ecosystems and empower human capital.

How do you define success as a business leader, and what advice would you offer to young professionals in the investment sector?

I define success as having the grit and perseverance to stay committed to your vision despite challenges. Building a business is never easy; it requires resilience, consistency, and the ability to push forward even during difficult times. I strongly believe in creating strong systems and processes that support long-term growth and sustainability. For young professionals, my advice is simple: never give up. Stay focused, keep learning, and remain disciplined in your approach. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but with persistence and dedication, you can steadily build toward your goals.
