Abu Dhabi has introduced a new collection of premium and standard taxis at Zayed International Airport, with the goal of enhancing passenger comfort, mobility, and accessibility between the airport and various locations throughout the emirate.
The program was revealed by the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), a branch of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, working together with Abu Dhabi Airports.

The updated fleet is managed by Al Arabia Transportation Taxi Company and includes 800 cars. Out of these, 500 taxis are assigned to Zayed International Airport, and an additional 300 function throughout Abu Dhabi city, capable of assisting airport services during peak demand times.
The adaptable distribution aims to assist in managing passenger flow during busy seasons and significant events. The event was highlighted by a formal ceremony at Zayed International Airport, featuring Dr Abdulla Hamad AlGhfeli, Director General of the Integrated Transport Centre; Sheikh Sultan Majid bin Majid Al Qasimi, Chairman of Al Arabia Transportation Taxi Company; and Ahmed Juma Al Shamisi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, alongside high-ranking officials.
The initiative is part of Abu Dhabi Mobility's strategy to enhance airport transportation services and offer travelers a more seamless experience to and from the airport. It aims to enhance the emirate’s increasing passenger traffic by broadening access to effective and high-quality ground transport. The inauguration occurs while Zayed International Airport maintains its global acclaim for the passenger experience.
The airport was awarded “Best Airport for Arrival Experience in the World” for the third straight year in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards, given by Airports Council International (ACI) and determined by passenger feedback.

The new taxi service signifies ongoing collaboration between Abu Dhabi Mobility and Abu Dhabi Airports to enhance transportation integration near the airport. The partners stated that the initiative aligns with their common goal of enhancing service quality, passenger comfort, and connectivity throughout Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Abdulla AlGhfeli, General Director of the Integrated Transport Centre, states, “A traveler’s trip from the airport to their ultimate destination is a crucial aspect of their experience in Abu Dhabi."
