Agri-biotech Exhibition Series Underway in Ho Chi Minh City

The 6th International Exhibition on Machinery Equipment, Supplies, Chemicals, and Agricultural Products, along with the Exhibition for Agriculture & Biotechnology Industries in Vietnam (Agri & Biotech Vietnam 2026), officially commenced in Ho Chi Minh City on June 10.
The series of events is drawing more than 200 businesses from more than 15 nations and regions, such as Vietnam, China, Taiwan (China), India, Thailand, Malaysia, Turkey, Russia, Cambodia, South Korea, and Singapore, highlighting agricultural technologies, equipment, materials, and products.

Alongside the exhibition events, Agri & Biotech Vietnam 2026, which runs until June 12, will feature a variety of specialized forums and seminars. Key areas of interest for businesses encompass agricultural exports, sustainable advancement in the pepper and spice sectors, low-emission farming, carbon credits, the circular economy, biotechnology, and creative startups.
The event additionally offers refreshed details on major export markets, such as Japan, the Republic of Korea, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), India, and the Halal market.
Seminars focused on fertilizers, low-emission farming, and carbon credits aim to assist businesses in discovering sustainable green transition strategies and fulfilling the growingly strict market standards.

Le Thanh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Quality, Processing and Market Development at the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, remarked that following 40 years of economic reform, Vietnam's agricultural sector has experienced an impressive change. From a nation that previously experienced food scarcity, it has transformed into one of the top global exporters of agro-forestry-fishery items, with exports sent to almost 200 countries and regions.
The ministry reported that the local agricultural export revenue reached 70.6 billion USD in 2025, reflecting a 12 percent increase from the year before and exceeding the established goal.
Hoa mentioned that in the new development scenario, the agricultural sector is moving from a growth model centered on quantity to one that emphasises quality. The implementation of cutting-edge technologies in manufacturing, preservation, and processing is being expedited to improve resource efficiency while increasing product quality and value.
In the meantime, Nguyen Thi Lam Ha serves as the Deputy Director of Minh Vi Advertising and Exhibition Services Co., Ltd. (VEAS) stated that as local and global markets enforce stricter standards, biotechnology is becoming an essential instrument for enhancing agricultural yield, product quality, and the adaptability of crops and livestock to climate change.

Ha states that biological methods not only minimize environmental pollution but also aid in fostering a greener and more sustainable agriculture sector, allowing Vietnam to integrate more fully into global markets.
