Separator

AirAsia is building on its strong network expansion from India to Malaysia and Thailand by launching a new route from Port Blair to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This development further cements AirAsia's status as a top low-cost carrier in the region, as it has become the only airline in ASEAN to operate international flights to and from Port Blair.

Starting on 16 November 2024, AirAsia will operate flights three times a week from Port Blair to Kuala Lumpur, bringing its total number of routes from India to 17. With the new addition, AirAsia now connects various Indian cities, including Amritsar and Chennai, with a total of 97 flights per week. In 2024, the airline introduced 10 new routes to Malaysia and Thailand, including destinations such as Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, and Kozhikode.

Located in the heart of Southeast Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur has always been a top destination for adventure enthusiasts eager to discover its beautiful islands, charming cities, and impressive skyscrapers. Visitors can explore historical landmarks, savor world-famous street food, and enjoy a variety of experiences. The city is a favored escape for Indian travelers, offering access to over 130 destinations through AirAsia’s extensive network.

To commemorate the launch of this new route, AirAsia is offering promotional fares to Kuala Lumpur from Port Blair from only INR4,999 all-in* one way. These special fares are available for booking on the AirAsia MOVE app (formerly known as airasia Superapp) or airasia.com from today to 25 August 2024, for travel between 16 November 2024 to 8 October 2025. All Indian citizens are eligible for visa-free entry to Malaysia for tourist visits of up to 30 days until 30 June 2025.
