Alef and Soro AI to Take AI-Powered Learning to Tajikistan

Alef Education, a global leader in education technology based in the UAE, has revealed a collaboration with Soro AI Limited to implement AI-driven learning solutions for 250,000 learners in Tajikistan. Alef also aims to expand into Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan.
The collaboration signifies a strategic move in Alef Education's global growth, introducing its Alef Pathways learning solution in Mathematics, Science, and English to emerging education systems.
The partnership will integrate Alef's organized educational content and personalized learning methods with Soro AI's technology in local languages and expertise in AI curricula to create educational experiences tailored to students' skill levels, national standards, and regional academic requirements.

Geoffrey Alphonso, Chief Executive Officer of Alef Education, says, “To effectively expand access to quality education, it is important to understand how students learn, what teachers need and how learning solutions can be adapted to different education systems. Through our partnership with Soro AI, we are bringing Alef Education's expertise in personalized learning to new communities, while working with a local partner that understands their languages, curricula and educational priorities. This is an important step in our international growth and our ambition to make effective, technology-enabled learning accessible to more students.”
The partnership is set to launch in Tajikistan, where Alef Education and Soro AI aim to roll out an English Pathways pilot for 11th-grade students and educators in chosen public schools by January 2027, depending on readiness for implementation.

Azizjon Azimi, founder of zypl.ai, says, “Our work in Tajikistan has focused on making artificial intelligence accessible and relevant to schools nationwide with a globally replicable playbook. The Soro vision of empowering every child with beneficial AI will now scale further through our partnership with Alef Education. Together, we aim to develop solutions in Central Asia that reflect local educational priorities, support teachers in the classroom and help students strengthen their knowledge and skills.”
Created to enhance current classroom teaching, the pilot will implement Alef's English learning resources, with materials aligned to students' skill levels. The organizations will evaluate student involvement, learning development, and educator feedback to guide the upcoming phase of implementation.
After the first pilot, Alef Education and Soro AI intend to broaden their partnership to include Mathematics and Science, adjusting content to local curriculums and instructional media while incorporating Alef Pathways with Soro's current AI-driven learning and teaching resources. The firms aim for a wider rollout starting September 2027, contingent on technical readiness, curriculum alignment, and required approvals.

Soro AI's current educational framework features SoroLLM, a local large language model created by zehnlab.ai, along with applications focused on aiding students, teachers, and parents. The AI curriculum will be implemented in roughly 4,000 schools throughout Tajikistan, impacting about 250,000 students.
Incorporating Alef Pathways into this ecosystem aims to broaden the variety of subject learning tools accessible to schools, while fostering personalized learning and assisting teachers in addressing diverse student requirements.
Aside from Tajikistan, the partnership is a component of Alef Education’s broader global growth strategy, as both firms seek chances to implement locally tailored educational solutions in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan. The strategy will emphasize compatibility with national curriculums, regional languages, and the demands of each educational framework.
