Shangri-La Bengaluru has appointed Andreas Streiber as its new General Manager. A seasoned hotelier with over 32 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Streiber brings a wealth of operational and management expertise to his new role.
Hailing from Germany, Streiber has spent the last decade in senior management positions at several renowned international companies across Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, and China. His extensive background in hospitality includes a notable tenure with the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts group, where he has worked with six properties in Asia.
Streiber's journey with Shangri-La began in 2002 as the Director of Food and Beverage at Shangri-La Hotel, Hangzhou. He quickly rose through the ranks, serving in various capacities, including General Manager roles at Shangri-La Hotel, Qinhuangdao from 2014 to 2016, and Shangri-La Hotel, Changchun starting in 2012. Under his leadership, Shangri-La Hotel, Changchun received numerous accolades, including being named one of the 'Top 125 Asia Hotels' by Condé Nast Traveler readers and one of the 'Top 100 China Hotels' by Travel + Leisure readers for four consecutive years. Additionally, the hotel was recognized as the 'Best Business Hotel' in Changchun by Business Traveller readers for seven consecutive years.
