Aster DM Healthcare has appointed Professor Turki B. Albacker as the new Chief Executive Officer of Aster Sanad Hospital in Saudi Arabia.
This strategic move is believed to align with the group’s broader vision of enhancing healthcare services in the Kingdom and expanding its footprint in the Saudi market.
Prof. Albacker, a distinguished healthcare leader and expert in cardiac surgery and medical education, whose leadership is expected to drive operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and long-term growth for Aster Sanad Hospital.
He is expected to report directly to Mohamed Alshamari, CEO of Aster Hospitals & Clinics in Saudi Arabia.
In his capacity as CEO, Prof. Albacker is expected to oversee the hospital’s strategic direction, spearheading initiatives to enhance patient care, streamline operations, and expand service offerings.
His mandate includes strengthening Aster Sanad’s market position and implementing best practices to elevate the hospital’s performance and efficiency.

Prof. Albacker has held several high-profile leadership roles within the healthcare sector, including serving as Chairman of the Cardiac Sciences Department at King Fahad Cardiac Center, Dean of Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz College for Emergency Medical Services, and Vice President of the Saudi Society of Cardiac Surgeons.
Beyond his clinical expertise, he is said to hold a track record in healthcare policy, medical education, and research. With extensive experience in revenue cycle management and health insurance, he brings valuable insights into financial performance and operational efficiencies within the healthcare industry.
Prof. Albacker holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from King Saud University, a Master of Science in Experimental Surgery from McGill University, and an MBA in Health Management from the University of Colorado. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC), the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
