China Commerce Minister And US Commerce Secretary To Meet And Discuss Economic Trade Relations

China's Commerce Minister Wang Wentao will meet with US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and US Trade Representative Katherine Tai during the 2023 APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting in Washington, DC, from Thursday to Friday, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

China and the United States will discuss China-US economic and trade relations, as well as issues of mutual concern, according to Shu Jueting, a ministry spokeswoman, at a news conference in Beijing.

Shu also stated that China's network security review of products manufactured by US memory chipmaker Micron Technology is in accordance with laws and regulations, and is a necessary measure to ensure national security.

She stated that China's government is still committed to high-standard opening up and fostering a more conducive business climate, and that it is willing to share China's development opportunities with the rest of the world.

Enterprises from all countries, as well as their various products and services, are welcome to enter the Chinese market if they follow Chinese laws and regulations, according to Shu.
