Chubb Appoints Division President for Overseas General Insurance

ChubbChubb, a global property and casualty insurance firm, has named Frederico Spagnoli as the division president overseeing consumer lines for Overseas General Insurance, their international general insurance division. In this newly established position, Spagnoli will hold accountability for Chubb's consumer lines across 51 countries and territories. His appointment is effective from January 15th, and he will directly report to Juan Luis Ortega, who serves as the executive vice president of Chubb Group and president of Overseas General Insurance.

Spagnoli boasts over two decades of industry expertise. He comes to Chubb from Prudential Financial, where he held the position of CEO at Fully Ecosystem, a wellness fintech initiative. Before leading Fully Ecosystem, he served as Prudential Financial's regional president for Latin America. With almost 13 years at AIG, Spagnoli occupied various roles, including regional consumer CEO for EMEA and India, regional head for consumer lines in Latin America, and regional vice president overseeing personal lines in Latin America. He also held leadership positions in Japan and South Korea.

Ortega remarked, "Frederico is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in cultivating and managing consumer insurance and digital ventures across Asia, Europe, and Latin America. His arrival at Chubb coincides with a thrilling period for our consumer-focused enterprises, integrating a distinctive blend of product distribution and technological capabilities. In his new capacity, Frederico will guide our strategies, focusing on optimizing and leveraging our complete range of consumer offerings, spanning personal lines, A&H products, direct marketing platforms, agent and broker relationships, and B2B2C digital distribution partnerships through Chubb Studio. We anticipate significant growth opportunities in Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and Europe, and Frederico's proven track record and expertise will aid us in realizing the collective potential of our consumer-centric business".
