
CtrlS Datacenters to Invest Rs 500 Crore in Bhopal

The Honourable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, virtually broke ground on CtrlS Datacenters Ltd.'s greenfield datacenter in Bhopal, marking a key milestone.
The Chief Minister virtually oversaw the proceedings at the ceremonial event, which was held on April 27 at the Tech Growth Conclave 2025 in Indore. This event demonstrated the State's forward-thinking approach to digital innovation.
The planned facility, which will be constructed on a 5-acre plot of land in Badwai IT Park that the Madhya Pradesh government has allocated, will require a substantial investment of Rs 500 crore and is expected to create 200 employment over the course of its phased development.
Through the assistance of high performance cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data processing applications, this strategic investment will strengthen the region's digital ecosystem.
The construction of the datacenter is strategically in line with Madhya Pradesh's ambitious policy framework, which includes the Global Capability Centers Policy 2025, which aims to develop more than 50 global tech centers, and the IT, ITeS & ESDM Investment Promotion Policy 2023, which offers up to a 25 percent capital expenditure subsidy.
These programs position the state as a top location for high-tech investments supported by top-notch digital infrastructure, and they are in line with the state's goal of having a $2 trillion economy by 2047.

The AI-ready datacenter will have cutting-edge security and cooling systems, among other modern amenities. The data center is expected to produce Rs 7.5 crore in State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) and Rs 7.5 crore in Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) annually when operating at full capacity.
The facility will become a vital node in the area's digital ecosystem thanks to its state-of-the-art capabilities, which will guarantee high uptime and operational reliability around-the-clock.

With a total datacenter capacity of 250 MW (IT Load) throughout major tier-1 markets like Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Noida, and Kolkata, CtrlS Datacentres is present all across the country. Along with GIFT City (Ahmedabad), Bhubaneswar, and Guwahati, CtrlS Datacentres also runs Edge datacenter facilities in tier-2 markets like Patna and Lucknow, with plans to expand further in these areas.
