Cybersecurity Enters Quantum Age as GQX Launches at GISEC

Global Quantum X (GQX) at GITEX will delve into the technologies, applications, and security frameworks that are defining a new quantum age, potentially unleashing trillions of dollars in global economic value.
To achieve this, it will bring together governments, leaders in quantum technology, national cybersecurity agencies, research organizations, business adopters, and investors.
GQX 2027 by GITEX is launched in collaboration with GISEC Global – one of the largest cyber intelligence events globally – and GITEX, the premier global AI and tech ecosystem network.

GQX 2027 will take place with GISEC Global 2027 in strategic collaboration with the UAE Cyber Security Council, merging the swiftly evolving domains of quantum technology and cybersecurity as enterprises and governments brace for a fresh age of digital challenges and possibilities.
The announcement arrives as quantum technology quickly transitions from scientific study to commercial use. As reported by McKinsey's Quantum Technology Monitor 2026, a third of worldwide companies currently invest over $10 million each year in quantum projects, with quantum technologies potentially releasing $2.7 trillion in global economic worth in the coming decade.
For the cybersecurity sector, though, the shift also brings an immediate challenge. The technological advancements being created now could revolutionize sectors like financial services, life sciences, logistics, and advanced manufacturing, prompting governments and organizations to reconsider their approaches to safeguarding sensitive data, vital infrastructure, and digital identities for the future.

GQX formalizes and speeds up this progress, enabling the quantum technology and cybersecurity sectors to tackle both aspects of the transition – hastening commercial uptake while enhancing the security, governance, and cryptographic skills necessary to facilitate it.
