Exelon Hires Anna Richo As Director

Exelon revealed that Anna Richo has been chosen as a director by the board. Richo, 62, works for Cargill, Inc. as general counsel, chief compliance officer, and corporate secretary.

She also brings a passion for diversity, equity and inclusion, an ongoing focus for our company. Her voice on all these issues will be an important one in Exelon’s boardroom as we continue our efforts to transform the energy industry.”

Richo is in charge of corporate governance, global ethics and compliance, worldwide security, global government relations, law, and shareholder relations at Cargill, a multinational food production and agricultural enterprise. She has a wealth of expertise in corporate litigation, intellectual property, and compliance and business ethics.

Richo spent several years living in Belgium and served as executive vice president and general counsel at UCB, a biopharmaceutical company, before joining Cargill. She also held positions as chief litigation counsel, associate general counsel, and vice president of law at Baxter Healthcare, as well as senior vice president and chief compliance officer at global biotechnology company Amgen. Her extensive international experience, which spans Europe, Latin America, and Asia, has strengthened her commitment to promoting workplace diversity and inclusion concerns.

Richo has a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University.
