GM Korea Tops Customer Service Survey for Eighth Straight Year

General Motors Korea has secured the top position in the Automobile Aftersales Service category of a national customer service survey for the eighth straight year, the company announced.
The 2026 Korea Service Quality Index (KSQI) Customer Contact Point Survey, executed by Korea Management Association Consulting, assessed 132 firms and organizations from 32 sectors regarding the quality of service customers receive during direct interactions.

GM Korea achieved a total score of 93 points, leading the automobile aftersales sector and receiving the highest ratings in areas such as employee grooming and appearance, service demeanor, proactivity, and language and tone.
The survey employed a "Mystery Survey" approach, akin to a mystery shopper assessment, where evaluators visited service sites in key cities anonymously to evaluate authentic customer encounters.
GM Korea stated that its extensive network of service centers enabled it to provide reliable and accessible service, which played a role in the outcome.
GM Korea celebrated the milestone with a ceremony on at its headquarters located in Bupyeong, Incheon. Attendees comprised GM Korea President Hector Villarreal; Song Kwang-ho, head of the Value Group Innovation sector at Korea Management Association Consulting; Kim Yong-ho, president of the GM Korea Service Center Association; and Lee Beom-jin, president of the Baro Service Association.

"Achieving the number one ranking in the Automobile Aftersales Service category of the KSQI Customer Contact Point Survey for eight consecutive years is a clear example of GM delivering on its commitment to putting customers first in Korea," Villarreal says, adding that the company will keep working to become more trusted among customers.
GM Korea reported that it continuously educates frontline personnel while enhancing technical skills in maintenance and diagnostic services for electric vehicles as it plans for future growth in the electric vehicle industry.
The company operates a Chevrolet maintenance reservation hotline and offers premium services like vehicle pickup and delivery along with express service, designed to reduce customers' travel and wait durations.

These initiatives led GM Korea to be acknowledged in May as an Excellent Call Center in the KSQI's call center category for the 23rd year in a row.
Since 2002, GM has managed production and sales operations in Korea and established an engineering center in the nation in 2019. The car manufacturer has around 12,000 employees in Korea, and in 2025, it sold 15,094 vehicles in the domestic market while exporting 447,216 completed vehicles globally.
