HD Hyundai Marine Solution Signs AEG Data Center Power Deal

HD Hyundai Marine Solution, the maritime service subsidiary of HD Hyundai, is expanding into the North American data center power solutions market through a new partnership with U.S.-based energy infrastructure developer Aperion Energy Group (AEG).
The two companies recently signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a long-term cooperation framework focused on operating and maintaining power generation systems for a large-scale data center project in Texas.
Under the agreement, HD Hyundai Marine Solution will support 33 power generation engines that will be installed at the upcoming facility.
The project follows an earlier contract signed in April between HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and AEG for the supply of 20-megawatt-class HiMSEN engines capable of generating a combined 684 megawatts of power for the Texas data center.
The collaboration comes as rapid advancements in artificial intelligence technology continue to increase electricity demand across global data centers. Reliable backup and prime power systems are becoming essential for uninterrupted operations, especially as AI-driven computing infrastructure expands worldwide.
