Kioxia Appoints Yoshihiko Kawamura as CFO

Kioxia Holdings Corporation, a global leader in memory solutions, has announced the appointment of Yoshihiko Kawamura as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), starting April 1, 2026.

Kawamura offers vast international expertise to Kioxia, having worked at Mitsubishi Corporation’s U.S. headquarters, acted as General Manager of its Chicago office, and finished a role at the World Bank.

At Hitachi, Ltd., he occupied high-level leadership roles, such as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Chief Risk Management Officer (CRMO), where he played a key role in directing the organization’s management transformations.

Since  Kawamura became Executive Vice President at Kioxia in June 2025, he has collaborated closely with the executive team to drive the business forward via strategic capital and financial planning.

After its initial public offering on the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in December 2024, Kioxia is embarking on a new growth phase marked by business expansion and financial enhancement. With this new leadership, the company aims for sustainable growth and improved financial stability to promote long-term corporate value.

Kioxia is a global frontrunner in memory solutions, focused on the creation, manufacturing, and marketing of flash memory and solid-state drives (SSDs). In April 2017, Toshiba Memory, the company that created NAND flash memory in 1987, was separated from Toshiba Corporation. Kioxia is dedicated to enhancing the world through "memory" by providing products, services, and systems that offer options for consumers and memory-driven value for communities.
