Kuwait Based Burgan Bank Names Daher As New GCEO

Following permission from the Central Bank of Kuwait, Burgan Bank has announced the appointment of Tony Daher as its new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO). 

 
Daher will start performing his duties and taking on responsibility. Masoud M. J. Hayat, who has been the GCEO since April 2019 and Vice Chairman since 2013, is replaced by him.

Daher helps Burgan Bank advance its goal of becoming the community's go-to financial partner by bringing more than 25 years of experience and solid industry knowledge. Daher held the positions of Gulf Bank's Deputy CEO from 2013 to 2016 and CEO from 2016 to 2023 before to joining the Bank.  
 
He formerly held notable positions at National Bank of Kuwait, including General Manager for Domestic Corporate Banking from 2011 to 2013 and Head of the Domestic Multinational division from 2007 to 2011.  
 
Earlier in his career, Daher also worked for the National City Bank in the US, where he had a number of positions in the areas of capital markets, corporate banking, project finance, and structured finance.
