LONGi, a leading global solar panel manufacturer, has joined forces with Netsolar to initiate a groundbreaking initiative in the Philippines. This collaboration involves the installation of LONGi's cutting-edge Hi-MO X6 high-efficiency solar panels at 27 Shell gas stations across the country. These stations, previously reliant on traditional power sources, are now undergoing transformation into eco-friendly hubs powered by renewable energy. Given that coal-fired power plants constitute a significant portion of the Philippines' energy mix, this move marks a substantial shift towards sustainability. With an average system size of 30 kWp per station, the combined effort is set to generate a total of 755 kWp nationwide. As a result, each participating station anticipates a remarkable 40% reduction in electricity costs, showcasing the tangible benefits of embracing solar energy solutions.

Ensuring safety remains paramount for gas stations, prompting LONGi to select the Hi-MO X6 solar panels to fulfill stringent safety and reliability standards. Distinguished by its pioneering HPBC cell technology and grid-free front surface, the innovative Hi-MO X6 panels optimize light absorption while minimizing optical loss, resulting in an impressive efficiency boost to 25.5% for standard HPBC cells. Engineered for superior performance, the Hi-MO X6 excels in power generation, resiliently delivering unmatched value to customers, even in the most demanding high-temperature and humid conditions.

The selection of Hi-MO X6 panels for the project was driven by their superior efficiency, ensuring maximum energy output despite the limited available space. This choice underscores a commitment to sustainability and creating an eco-friendly future in the Philippines. Netsolar, our strategic partner, praised Hi-MO X6's outstanding performance and remarkable cost-effectiveness across its 25-year lifespan, making LONGi the logical choice in helping Shell turn this vision into reality.

Shell Philippines, widely acknowledged as one of Asia and the Pacific's most innovative and sustainable companies, is at the helm of the energy transition. The message delivered by Shell centers around reducing its carbon footprint and saving energy while emphasizing the importance of solar and sustainability to their business. This is congruent with LONGi's mission "to make the best of solar energy to build a green world".

Recognized as customer-centric hubs, Shell's mobility stations cater comprehensively to diverse customer requirements, spanning fuel and non-fuel services. At the heart of this initiative lies LONGi's steadfast dedication to prioritizing customer needs, enriching Shell's clientele with inventive, efficient, and eco-conscious energy solutions. LONGi's integration of solar panels at Shell epitomizes the harmonious fusion of sustainable technology and customer-centricity. Moreover, it highlights the shared dedication of both entities towards minimizing carbon emissions and fostering the adoption of renewable energy sources.
