MTC, a subsidiary of Magnachip, was established to bolster the company's display driver IC and power IC businesses in China. Hefei, renowned for its burgeoning IC industrial cluster and aspirations to become the "IC Capital of China," provides an ideal setting for MTC. Magnachip plans to capitalize on Hefei's robust infrastructure and talent pool by positioning MTC within this thriving ecosystem. Moreover, MTC aims to enhance its China presence by setting up branch offices in Beijing, Chengdu, and Shenzhen, streamlining communication channels and ensuring prompt customer support.
With over four decades of operational experience and an extensive patent portfolio comprising approximately 1,100 registered patents and pending applications, Magnachip is a leader in power ICs, OLED display driver ICs, and power management ICs. These technologies cater to various sectors, including communication, IoT, consumer electronics, computing, industry, and automotive.
MTC's primary focus will be on leveraging Magnachip’s OLED Display Driver IC and power management IC capabilities to meet the demands of the Chinese consumer market.
