Natixis CIB names Cecile De Sousa as COO, APAC

With effect from January 26, Cecile De Sousa has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, Asia Pacific by Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking (Natixis CIB). Also a member of the Global COO CIB Executive Committee and the Asia Pacific Executive Committee is Cécile.

Cecile is based in Hong Kong and reports to Florence Brieu, the global chief operating officer of Natixis CIB, and Bruno Le Saint, the chief executive officer for Asia Pacific.

Cecile is the chief operating officer for Asia Pacific, where she is responsible for the CIB's client office, client onboarding, business management & organisation, operations, data & technology, innovation & strategic sourcing, control tower, corporate real estate, and procurement activities.

In order to advance Groupe BPCE's 2024 global strategic ambitions to scale up operations in the data and new technology markets, Cécile will concentrate on growing Natixis CIB Asia Pacific as a key enabler of innovation and transformation capabilities for Natixis CIB globally. She will pay particular attention to developing specific domains of Emerging Tech.

Cecile has worked in CIB activities in London, Hong Kong, and Paris for more than 20 years. She worked in London as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff for the CEO of Natixis UK before joining Natixis CIB in the Asia Pacific region. 

Prior to that, Cécile worked for HSBC as the global head of business management for global markets equity derivatives & prime finance as well as the COO for Europe of global markets equities. Prior to joining HSBC, she held a number of positions at Société Générale in Markets, Projects, and Operations in Paris and Hong Kong.
