
Party Central Committee’s 13th Meeting Wraps Up

The 13th session of the 13th Party Central Committee wrapped up in Hanoi after fulfilling all scheduled activities. During his concluding remarks, Party General Secretary To Lam highlighted the meeting's success, characterized by comprehensive preparation, open and evidence-based deliberations, and strong agreement on numerous strategic matters.
These encompassed fundamental issues connected to the success of the forthcoming 14th National Party Congress, the nation's ambitious goals for swift and sustainable growth, and enhancing citizens' quality of life.
The Party Central Committee endorsed materials for presentation at the coming congress, reached consensus on candidate recommendations for the 14th Party Central Committee and its Inspection Commission, and examined the schedule, substance, and procedures for the approaching congress.

According to him, the materials were designed to be brief and implementation-focused, emphasizing major advances in systems, infrastructure, human capital, digital innovation and environmental transition, regional integration, and national progress through independent and sustainable approaches.
The session passed a resolution regarding the 2025 socio-economic strategy, committed to achieving all outstanding objectives of the 2021–2025 framework, and established foundations for the 2026 strategy and the 2026–2030 fiscal plan, emphasizing macroeconomic steadiness, public debt security, developmental investment, and social welfare.

Representatives also reached agreement on swiftly tackling organizational obstacles under the Party Central Committee's authority, established frameworks for ongoing assessment and responsibility, and advanced the concept that "discipline takes precedence, resources are allocated accordingly, and outcomes serve as the benchmark."
Through open, democratic, and accountable deliberations, the Party Central Committee achieved agreement on nine key directions, encompassing thorough preparation for the 14th National Party Congress, enhancing documents to embody strategic perspective, reaffirming three strategic advances in the current context, defining digital transformation – environmental transition and regional plus intelligent urban growth, and advancing maritime economy and cultural economy.

The Party leader emphasized that staff selection must be grounded in character, capability, and reputation, with zero acceptance of corruption and adverse practices, noting the focus continues to be on positioning suitable individuals in appropriate roles at the proper moment.
