Perplexity AI, an artificial intelligence startup is observed to be negotiating with Samsung and Motorola, both owned by Lenovo, to incorporate the virtual assistant into their products.
Although talks with the South Korean tech giant are said to be still underway, it is rumored that the cooperation with Motorola may be unveiled shortly.
Notably, in January, the AI company unveiled the virtual assistant for Android smartphones. It can create messages, respond to inquiries, and carry out some app-based functions.
According to reports, the AI company is attempting to expand the Perplexity Assistant's user base by integrating it into Samsung and Motorola handsets.
Reports claim that the agreement with Motorola has already been finalized, and an announcement may be made as early as April.
Notably, on April 24, the smartphone firm owned by Lenovo is reportedly holding a product presentation in New York City. At the ceremony, the two businesses might formally announce their alliance. At this time, neither the partnership's specifics nor its financial terms are revealed.
Discussions are seen to be still ongoing over the relationship with Samsung. The IT giant and Perplexity are reportedly investigating the nature of the partnership.
According to reports, the choices include pre-installing the Perplexity Assistant app on its phones or making it the default AI assistant.
According to reports, the South Korean corporation is also thinking about promoting the software through the Galaxy Store.

Making Perplexity the default assistant could be more difficult for Samsung given its current collaboration with Google, even though preloading the app on phones or marketing it in its app marketplace are relatively simple tasks.
