Prabowo, Wang Huning Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthen Ties

Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Nasir indicated that the discussion between President Prabowo Subianto and Chairman Wang Huning of China’s CPPCC at the Merdeka Palace revolved around enhancing the bilateral relations between Indonesia and China.
They discussed our already strong bilateral cooperation. Both the President and the Chairman of China’s parliament reiterated their commitment to continuously deepen cooperation, Arrmanatha told reports at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta .
He stated that both parties expressed their dedication to strengthening the existing strong relationship between them.
He stated that the meeting concluded without the formalization of any new agreements.
Rather, Indonesia and China affirmed their mutual commitment to furthering their strategic partnership.
“They simply emphasized what has already been undertaken and reaffirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening cooperation,” he says.
The visit represents a significant step in strengthening strategic ties and cooperation between Indonesia and China, especially in the areas of parliamentary diplomacy and advancing future partnerships.
Besides having a meeting with President Prabowo, the CPPCC Chairman will also be visiting the parliamentary complex in Senayan for discussions with leaders from Indonesia's MPR, DPR, and DPD.
The meetings are anticipated to offer an opportunity for important discussions regarding enhancing the connections between legislative bodies, increasing cooperation in economic and socio-cultural areas, and considering options for working together on issues at both regional and global levels.
The visit highlights the dedication of both nations to creating a future partnership that benefits them both and is in line with regional stability and the well-being of their citizens.
Furthermore, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto greeted Wang Huning, who is the Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.
Wang, along with his group, reached the palace at approximately 11:35 a.m. local time, and was accompanied by motorcycle guards. Upon his arrival, traditional dancers gave him a warm welcome. Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi welcomed him and then accompanied him to a meeting with President Prabowo.
The President greeted Wang on the palace veranda before escorting him to the Credential Chamber for a photo opportunity and the signing of the state guest book, symbolizing the close relationship between Indonesia and China.
