For the purpose of accelerating its growth and innovation agenda in Australia, R/GA, a creative innovation company, has announced three key hires.

Kerry Peterson becomes Group Director, Production; Abigail Kwek becomes Group Strategy Director; and Ben Martin becomes Group Technology Director.

The hirings are a reflection of R/GA's ongoing expansion since it joined forces with the private equity firm Truelink Capital to become a privately held corporation.

With extensive knowledge in web and mobile development, solution architecture, and enterprise technology, Ben Martin is a seasoned frontend development leader.

He most recently oversaw frontend development at Deloitte Digital, where he created powerful digital experiences for companies like NSW DPI, QBR, Travel Money Oz, Orica, and Bunnings. He has also held digital leadership positions at Coles Australia and Tesco UK, where he led the way in e-commerce and mobile innovation.

Having worked with companies including Telstra, Coles, Nissan, Mastercard, Grab, and Spotify, Abigail Kwek provides more than ten years of strategy experience in both APAC and international markets.

Abigail has spearheaded award-winning work acknowledged by WARC, New York AMEs, and TANGRAMS, with an emphasis on CX, brand, and relationships strategy.

She was a leader at TBWA, 72andSunny, and Hogarth before joining R/GA.

Kerry Peterson comes to R/GA from Merkle, where she oversaw the digital experience practice's delivery team. With fifteen years of expertise in project management and business analysis, Kerry is a seasoned production leader who specializes in resolving difficult business issues through astute scope planning, strong stakeholder involvement, and efficient governance.

“We’re in a transformative moment, for our industry, for R/GA, and for our clients,” R/GA Australia’s managing director, Victoria Curro, said.

“Ben, Abigail, and Kerry bring a powerful mix of capability, craft and commercial acumen that will help us shape more innovative, connected, and human outcomes. Each of them represents the kind of talent we’re investing in for the future: deeply experienced, multidisciplinary, and built for what’s next.”

In recent months, R/GA's executive team has seen substantial turnover.

In July 2025, previous Australian chief creative officer Seamus Higgins left for personal reasons to London, and Ben Yabsley and Prue Jones were named national executive creative directors.

After working as a freelancer in London for a year, Higgins returned to the agency in the middle of 2023.

Guill Rodas was appointed APAC's chief technology officer in April of this year. Ben Cooper was appointed global executive director in charge of its AI Products team in June, while Melissa Jackson Parsey was appointed global chief strategy officer.
