Howden, the global insurance intermediary group, has named Rohan Bhappu as Deputy CEO of Howden Asia. He will begin his role in June 2025, reporting to Chye Huat Goh, CEO of Howden Asia, and will be based in Hong Kong.
Bhappu will become CEO, of Howden Asia on 1 October 2025, reporting to David Howden, CEO, of Howden. Goh will then succeed Mark Wood as Chairman of the region and as Chairman of Private Wealth. Wood continues to lead Howden’s Global Specialty Practices.
Bhappu joins Howden from Marsh McLennan, where he spent 22 years working across regions such as the USA, India, Singapore, and Hong Kong. He most recently served as CEO of Marsh McLennan Hong Kong and Macau. Before this, Bhappu was CEO of Marsh in Hong Kong and Macau, where he managed the integration of JLT following its acquisition by the US broker in 2019. He has also led sales for Marsh Asia and has extensive experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, bringing a proven skill set to his new role.

Bhappu will join once he has fulfilled his contractual obligations to his current employer.
