Ryu Seong-soo, responsible for the HBM business, has been appointed as the new head of SK hynix America (SKHYA).
According to the industry on the 26th, SK hynix America recently noted on the social networking service (SNS) 'LINKED' that Vice President Ryu has been appointed as the new representative (head of the Americas division).
SK hynix America introduced, "Vice President Ryu Seong-soo, who has over 20 years of experience at SK hynix, has played a pivotal role in advancing memory and semiconductor solutions and leading groundbreaking innovations in HBM technology and DRAM product planning".
The newly appointed representative Ryu has played a key role in sales with major big tech companies, including NVIDIA, since being promoted to an executive position at the end of December 2019, focusing on the HBM business.
Ryu's appointment is viewed as an attempt to strengthen partnerships with global big tech companies by placing a skilled individual in charge of product planning and business for DRAM, including HBM.
