Sashikumar Sreedharan is now the managing director of Google Cloud India, succeeding Bikram Singh in this position.

Sreedharan was previously Google Cloud APAC's chief operations officer. For the previous four and a half years, Bedi served as the MD for the India region.

At Google Cloud APAC, Bedi will now be concentrating on important projects.

Sreedharan has previously held top management roles at organizations including Happiest Minds, SAP, and Microsoft. He oversaw Microsoft India's enterprise division as MD prior to Google.

Sreedharan will be in charge of Google Cloud's go-to-market organization in India in his capacity as MD. He will collaborate with the company's partners, developer ecosystem, and enterprise and digital native clients.

Customers of Google Cloud India come from a wide range of sectors, including startups, retail, manufacturing, banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI), and telecoms. The Federal Bank, HDFC, ICICI, Flipkart, and Reliance Group are a few of its customers.

“I look forward to contributing to APAC's strategic priorities and watching India's continued success in this new chapter under Sashi’s leadership,” says Singh.

“My time as COO for APAC has deeply affirmed my belief in Google Cloud’s winning strategy and powerful AI-first platform,” says Sreedharan.

“I am excited to return to the field and to work with our customers to advance their innovation agenda.”

The company currently operates two cloud zones in the nation: Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. In 2021, the newest cloud region in Delhi-NCR was created in response to the growing need for low latency, disaster recovery solutions, and capacity building.

Sreedharan’s appointment will “further propel our organisation and our customers to their next phase of growth in this crucial market,” said Karan Bajwa, president, Google Cloud, Asia Pacific.

Among Google Cloud's clients in India include HDFC Bank, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Flipkart, Myntra, and Apollo 24/7. Additionally, it collaborates with the Uttar Pradesh government, the Karmayogi platform, the government-backed Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), and others.
