Saudi Arabia Commits to Invest $600 Billion in United States

US President Donald J. Trump announced a $600 billion investment commitment from Saudi Arabia, marking a historic expansion in economic and strategic ties. The agreement is said to include transformative deals spanning areas of energy, defense, technology, infrastructure, and healthcare, representing the largest commercial partnership ever recorded between the two nations.

Key components of the deal are said to include $20 billion from Saudi-based DataVolt for AI data centers and US energy infrastructure, and an $80 billion joint tech investment by major firms including Google, Oracle, and Uber. On the other hand, US companies like AECOM and Hill International are expected to provide $2 billion in services for major Saudi infrastructure projects, including airports and parks.GE Vernova and Boeing are exporting energy systems and aircraft worth over $19 billion. In healthcare, Shamekh IV Solutions is expected to invest $5.8 billion, including a plant in Michigan.

With a $142 billion arms agreement, the defense cooperation reached new heights, covering air, missile, maritime, and border security, as well as communication systems and military training. Saudi Arabia remains America’s largest Foreign Military Sales partner with active cases totaling $129 billion.

 

Other agreements are to be focused on energy collaboration, mining, and critical minerals.

The US and Saudi energy ministries signed new cooperation agreements while NASA and the Saudi Space Agency partnered on a CubeSat mission aboard Artemis II. Additionally, the nations also updated their air transport agreement to enhance cargo operations. Cultural and scientific ties were strengthened through agreements between the Smithsonian Institution and the Royal Commission for AlUla.

In 2023, Saudi - US direct investment was $9.5 billion, which reached reached $25.9 billion in 2024 through bilateral trade agreement. This expansive package underscores President Donald Trump’s “America First” agenda, emphasizing job creation, economic growth, and enhanced security through strengthened international alliances.
