Saudia Cargo Names Loay Mashabi As Managing Director
Saudia Cargo, a renowned global airfreight airline based in Jeddah, has announced the hiring of Loay Mashabi as managing director. He will begin on October 8. Mashabi, a former deputy minister for logistics services at the Ministry of Transportation and Logistics Services, has vast experience in the logistics sector and has been instrumental in attempts to strengthen Saudi Arabia's status as a logistics center.
Throughout his career, Mashabi has served in various positions in both the private and government sectors and has also acted as board member of Saudia Cargo, Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones, known as MODON, Riyadh Integrated, and Saudi Exports Authority, as per arabnews.
“Together with CEO Teddy Zebitz, Mashabi will oversee several functions and strategic initiatives to ensure Saudia Cargo continues in its successful growth and transformation to reach a vast international presence through expanding its dedicated freighter fleet to become one of the world’s top 10 largest air cargo carriers in the coming years,” a statement said.
“We are thrilled to have Loay on board and to welcome him to the Saudia Cargo family,” said Zebitz. “His background and vast experience in the field will prove to be invaluable in our efforts to drive forward Saudia Cargo’s ambitious growth plans.”

Mashabi has a master's degree in petroleum engineering from King Fahd University and an executive MBA from London Business School.
