Separator

Steven Vindevogel, who previously served as the deputy, has been named the new Head of the Mobile Solutions Business Division Europe by Panasonic Connect Europe. He wants to continue expanding the variety of lifecycle solutions offered by Panasonic TOUGHBOOK around its products and putting more of an emphasis on sustainability in order to build on the company's reputation as the leading manufacturer of rugged mobile computing in Europe.

“Digitalization of the mobile workforce brings a new world of opportunity for our customers, whether that is competitive advantage in Transport and Logistics, Manufacturing and the supply chain, or improved response times and connectivity for Emergency Services and Defense users on the ground. But rugged hardware alone is not enough, customers need a mobile computing partner that can work alongside them - through the lifecycle of their devices – helping to keep them competitive. That’s where we are focused,” Steven said.

Steven oversaw the creation of TOUGHBOOK end-to-end solutions during his time as the deputy. This portfolio of managed services offers specialized, lifelong support for enterprises' investments in rugged mobile computing, from custom application development to predictive maintenance and servicing. This focus will intensify as the company keeps creating wrap-around services that let users benefit from cutting-edge innovations like private 5G networks.

Steven previously worked for Sony Ericsson and Packard Bell before joining Panasonic as a business manager in Belgium. He graduated from Ghent University with a master's degree in business economics.

Steven succeeds Daichi Kato, who was elevated to Managing Director of the Panasonic Avionics Business Unit in Japan and assisted in the growth of TOUGHBOOK during his two years there.
