World Tea Fest 2025 Elevates Vietnamese Tea Brand

The World Tea Fest 2025 commenced at Lam Vien Square, Xuan Huong–Da Lat Ward, Lam Dong Province with the main objective of enhancing the reputation of Vietnamese tea. The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the extensive cultural heritage of tea production and consumption in Vietnam.

Presently, tea stands as a vital agricultural commodity in the country, with the Vietnamese tea industry making a significant impact on a global scale by exporting to over 70 nations.

Lam Dong province is recognized as a prominent tea-producing region in Vietnam, esteemed for its effective methodologies and inventive strategies in enhancing the tea industry's value chain

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of promoting the sustainable growth of the Vietnamese tea industry in an environmentally friendly and efficient manner, focusing on producing high-quality products of significant value.

He called upon central government agencies and local authorities, such as Lam Dong province, to expedite the restructuring of the sector towards incorporating large-scale production, establishing value-chain partnerships, adopting advanced technologies, engaging in extensive processing techniques, and expanding product varieties to adhere to global benchmarks.

He emphasized the importance of incorporating the cultural and tourism aspects associated with tea, and highlighted the significance of developing reputable tea brands in Vietnam.

 

He further conveyed optimism regarding the ongoing expansion of investment and collaboration by international partners, emphasizing the utilization of advanced technology to facilitate the growth and diversification of Lam Dong and Vietnam's tea industry, with a focus on mutual benefits and risk-sharing.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son is optimistic that Vietnamese agricultural products, specifically tea, will maintain their quality, reputation, and brand recognition in regional and global markets, serving as a source of national pride. He believes that the innovative spirit, creativity, and strong determination of localities, businesses, and citizens in Lam Dong and throughout Vietnam will ensure the continued success of these products.

VietKings recently declared four new records in Vietnam, which are: the 1927 Tea Factory in Bao Loc, considered one of the longest-standing tea-processing facilities in the country; the successful organization of the International Tea Festival showcasing a wide range of cultural, economic, and diplomatic events; the impressive sight of 1,111 tea maidens preparing and serving tea in the traditional "Viet Tea Ceremony" style — marking the largest assembly in a single location; and the festival attracting the highest number of Miss Cosmo beauty queens and international delegates engaging in hands-on activities.

The Viet Nam Federation of UNESCO Associations and the National Federation of UNESCO Associations in Japan both recognized Lam Dong Tea Joint Stock Company with a Certificate of Intangible Cultural Heritage Practice for its work in bringing together tea practitioners and sharing tea knowledge on a large scale.

In addition, the UNESCO “Doi Dep” Cultural Brand was given as a symbol of appreciation for the company's efforts in safeguarding and promoting Vietnamese tea culture, as well as building global partnerships for peace and sustainable development.
