Kilicoglu studied Computer Engineering at Boğaziçi University, building a strong technical foundation before completing an Executive MBA at the same institution. The MBA broadened his perspective across strategy, finance, leadership and governance, complementing his engineering background with a wider understanding of business.

He began his career in technology-focused positions before progressing into ICT, enterprise services and leadership. His early professional experience provided hands-on exposure to IT operations, complex customer environments and large-scale technology projects.

Within the Deutsche Telekom Group, he subsequently assumed broader responsibilities spanning ICT services, managed services, customer delivery and organizational leadership. Today, as Managing Director of Deutsche Telekom Global Business Solutions Türkiye, he leads the local organization while aligning Türkiye’s capabilities with Deutsche Telekom’s global strategy.

How have you shaped Deutsche Telekom’s growth strategy in Türkiye, and which milestones have defined your leadership journey?

My vision has been to position Deutsche Telekom Tür­kiye as more than a connectivity provider - as a trusted digital transformation partner. I focus on combining our global capabilities with strong local execution across ICT, managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, au­tomation and AI.

Key milestones have included transi­tioning toward integrated managed services, strength­ening operational discipline, deepening customer relationships and developing adaptable teams. For me, growth goes beyond revenue.

It means building cus­tomer trust, organizational resilience, innovation capa­bilities and talent. My leadership journey has therefore centered on transforming both our services and our organization to meet evolving enterprise needs.

How has your leadership philosophy evolved throughout your career?

My leadership philosophy has evolved from primarily focusing on technology and execution toward balancing people, systems and culture. Earlier in my career, success meant solving technical challenges, delivering projects and maintaining operational reliability. Over time, I learned that sustainable performance depends on empowered teams that take ownership, collaborate effectively and adapt to change.

I believe strong leadership requires clarity, trust and accountability. I set direction, establish priorities and remove obstacles while giving people room to contribute and grow. Transparency, customer focus, fairness, resilience, ethical decision-making and continuous learning remain central to how I lead teams and build lasting business success.

What differentiates Deutsche Telekom Türkiye in delivering digital solutions and customer experiences?

I believe our strength comes from combining Deutsche Telekom’s global scale, technical expertise and operational reliability with strong local market understanding. Enterprise customers depend on our services for critical business operations, so innovation must always be supported by security, continuity, governance and accountability.

We focus on understanding customers’ challenges and delivering solutions that improve efficiency, reduce risk and strengthen resilience. Our integrated approach is another advantage, bringing connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity, automation and managed services together.

Ultimately, long-term value is built through trust, consistency and delivery excellence. Exceptional customer experience must continue throughout the relationship, not end when a solution is sold.

How do you integrate sustainability, ESG and digital inclusion into your long-term strategy?

I see sustainability and responsible business as fundamental to the future of telecommunications.

Technology can consume significant resources, but it can also enable greater efficiency, resilience and inclusion. My focus is therefore on integrating ESG principles into strategy, operations, customer solutions and leadership decisions. This includes energy efficiency, data protection, cybersecurity, ethical technology, employee well-being, diversity and inclusion.

Digital inclusion is equally important because access to connectivity, digital skills and trusted services supports broader participation in the digital economy. I believe ESG should not be treated simply as a reporting requirement. It should influence how we operate, innovate, serve customers and create sustainable value.

What is your long-term vision for Deutsche Telekom Türkiye and the legacy you hope to create?

My long-term vision is for Deutsche Telekom Türkiye to be recognized as a trusted digital transformation partner and a strong contributor to the wider Deutsche Telekom ecosystem. I see significant potential in combining connectivity, managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, AI and automation to solve real enterprise challenges.

I also believe Türkiye can strengthen its position as a regional technology and service hub through its talent, entrepreneurial energy and digital ambition. Personally, I want my legacy to extend beyond commercial results.

I hope to build strong teams, develop future leaders, strengthen customer trust and create capabilities that continue delivering value long after my own leadership journey progresses.

What principles guide you in building sustainable business success?

I believe sustainable success comes from aligning people, technology, customers and strategy around a clear purpose. Financial performance is important, but lasting success also requires customer trust, operational resilience, talent development and continuous innovation.

I encourage teams to take ownership, collaborate across boundaries and remain open to learning. I also believe leaders must remain calm under pressure, make decisions with integrity and communicate transparently, particularly during periods of uncertainty.

My objective is to build an organization that can adapt to changing technologies and markets without losing sight of its values. Ultimately, sustainable leadership means creating lasting capabilities, trusted relationships and opportunities for future generations.
