AMCHAM Hosts US Ambassador Steel for Business Community Meeting

The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM) welcomed US Ambassador to Korea Michelle Steel for an executive breakfast roundtable at its Seoul office, marking Steel’s initial official interaction with the US business community in Korea since taking her position.
The intimate roundtable assembled a chosen group of top executives from prominent US firms across essential sectors in Korea. Steel spoke directly with business leaders in Korea and talked about priorities for ongoing collaboration between the US Embassy and AMCHAM.

The conversation centered on significant opportunities and obstacles encountered by US businesses in Korea. Participants examined how ongoing involvement could enhance bilateral trade and investment while promoting a more competitive, stable, and globally harmonized business landscape.
The discussion also covered possible collaboration areas between the U.S. Embassy and AMCHAM, such as the Freedom 250 initiatives celebrating the 250th anniversary of the US.
